rain delay
sorry about so long without an entry to the 20 or so (amazing!) people who read this. Blogger has been down quite a bit this last week and yesterday at dave's drooling request for intellectual stimuli i typed out oodles of post-ry, only to have internet explorer load 'page cannot be displayed'
i had two things to say about youth militancy and human existance on earth but they are a wash now. it's so hard to type out thigns from memory for me.
i'll briefly touch on the latter; why is it most doomsday types assume that 'when' we kill our fleeting race off it will be the ends of terra firma? it's common for these types to see a nuclear end to mankind, and all of life on earth as well know it. Sure, the earth would be in nuclear winter (accordign to scientests) for a few thousand years. a true tick of earth-space time on the tock of the universe. And just like that every memory of human existance and trace of our kind is gone and later on a new one begins. Don't think this as dark and dismal as it sounds friends, just a thought. If we don't carry on some way, did we ever really exist? if there is no one or way to remember, then what becomes of us? this is not a question regarding the meaning of life or death (unless you're one of those cute people who believe ALL questions pertain to life and death) but more a question of humanity. Do we live so fast that danger lies in one darwins' laws, we don't care about preservation of the species. Perhaps these are merely selfish western views, it sounded alot better the first time i typed it out.
